I haven’t shared much about my hair products in quite some time so here is an update about what I use everyday and my tips for getting the most out of your hair. I often try to change up my routine and try new products, but there are some items that remain a constant over the years.. These are some of my favorite products and most of them I’ve used for over three years and have loved the results I’ve gotten.
1.
Tiny Elastic Bands
There was a time when I was young that these elastics were my worst nightmare. Now I found myself using these scunci polybands regularly to tie up braids for going to the gym and for half-up looks that last all day! They aren’t a necessity at first, but after awhile I realized I used them way more than I thought I ever would! Keep your eye out for a post about hairstyles using these bad boys!
2.
Nexxus Hair Spray
I’ve been using this Nexxus hairspray and shampoo products ( here is the shampoo I use) for over a year now and I’ve found it works great for providing a good hold without leaving a sticky texture.
3.
OGX Argan Oil
I’ve spoken about this OGX Argan Oil in this post and after using it for several years I am still a big fan! If you are looking for a good drugstore, budget product this is my suggestion. It makes my hair softer over time and smells heavenly. I’ve tried a few other more expensive argan oils like this one and loved it as well!
4.
Nexxus Keraphix Hair Masque
For anyone with heat or color damaged hair, this is my number one recommended hair masque. I use this a few times a month to help add moisture back into my hair and safeguard against any further damage. Put it in about 10 minutes before you shower then rinse it out and continue with your regular routine.
5.
Wet Hair Brush
I received this life changing brush as a gift two Christmas’ ago and it transformed my after the shower hair brushing experience. My hair is very thick and can often get tangled especially since coloring it. This brush combs through tangles without damaging the hair and makes brushing a much less painful experience.
